How It's Made

EcoPrime™ is created through a unique, patented cleaning process, designed to eliminate contaminants without exposing the plastic to chemical treatments.
The EcoPrime Process

Food-contact, recycled products, using EcoPrime™ are transported to your local store where you can buy your favorite brands and minimize your impact on the environment.

HDPE (#2) bottles are collected curbside from neighborhoods like yours across the United States.

Local waste haulers and recycling trucks take the collected bottles to Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs) for sorting.

EcoPrime™ pellets are transported to the packaging manufacturer, where they are molded into new products such as bottles.

Bales of HDPE bottles are transported to an Envision facility. Recycled bottles are sorted into food-contact and non-food contact source materials.

Envision grinds the sorted bottles into flakes, which are cleaned by a wash line. The plastic is melted and formed into pellets. The pellets are introduced into a proprietary purification process utilizing heat and air designed to cleanse the plastic of contaminants without the use of chemicals, resulting in the final product, EcoPrime™ pellets.
